Great News!

I am so pleased to announce that last evening, the Leonia Board of Education and the Leonia Education Association reached a tentative agreement pending Board approval and Association ratification.  Congratulations to both parties - they worked diligently and cooperatively to reach this Memorandum of Agreement.

Korean Culture Week at ACS

On March 18th  and 19th the Korean Parents Association engaged students in read alouds during library periods. The parent volunteers along with our school literacy teachers read and discussed books on Korean culture. Books such as Bee-Bim Bop! Were enjoyed by everyone. In addition to the read alouds, the parents also decorated our school cafeteria with information and decorations about Korean culture. Thanks to the KPA for making our school a rich, diverse, fun place to learn!

 Bubble Mania

ACS children enjoyed  a Bubble Mania assembly hosted by the Home & School. Students learned science concepts as they enjoyed interactive discussions on making bubbles.

The third grade students have written some
wonderful flip books!

The students read a series of books and then analyzed the characters, setting, and themes throughout those books.  They then created these flip books based on their work.
Nice job third grade!
