Leonia Public Schools

English as a Second Language Program

Our English as a Second Language (ESL) program is designed to meet the needs of English Language Learners (ELLs) by creating excellence in academics through equity, and rigor. Our program is structured through research based strategies, best practices, and a laser light focus in instruction that meets the needs of all learners. We pride ourselves in enhancing instruction that improve language acquisition in the four language domains of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. We also take pride in celebrating the diverse cultures that attend Leonia Public Schools, as we strengthen our local community through parental involvement and outreach.
