Multilingual Learners
Leonia Public Schools
English as a Second Language Program
Our English as a Second Language (ESL) program is designed to meet the needs of English Language Learners (ELLs) by creating excellence in academics through equity, and rigor. Our program is structured through research-based strategies, best practices, and a laser-light focus on instruction that meets the needs of all learners. We pride ourselves in enhancing instruction that improves language acquisition in the four language domains: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. We also take pride in celebrating the diverse cultures attending Leonia Public Schools, strengthening our local community through parental involvement and outreach.
