Education Committee

The Leonia Board of Education’s Education Committee is dedicated to advancing student achievement for all of Leonia’s learners. Accordingly, this committee carries out this aspiration by meeting with administrators to assess and monitor the progress and performance of all school programs, reviewing recommendations from department heads, administrators, teachers, and other staff regarding new program opportunities or areas of curriculum development and change. 

Among other things, you can now view the Leonia Public School District's Curriculum. The curriculum does not remain static and as a result, our curriculum mapping is ongoing, evolving, and based on students’ instructional needs which are aligned with the common core and core content standards. The information on this public site provides an overview of course content and focus. The weeks listed on the units are a guide and are adjusted by the teacher based on the needs of our learners.
