Diversity & Inclusion Committee

On June 9th, 2020, the Leonia Board of Education unanimously approved the Resolution to Advance Racial Justice in the Leonia School District. While these actions alone will not be the end of racism or prejudice, accomplishing these items ensure we take a meaningful step forward in the advancement of that goal.

As part of our Diversity & Inclusion action plan, we have officially partnered with Montclair State University Network for Educational Renewal (MSUNER) to support us in continuing to foster a community that is sensitive and supportive to the needs of our diverse learners.  Over the next few months, we will be collaborating with MSUNER to conduct an "equity audit" that will help us better reflect on our district policies, procedures, and beliefs, and assist us in creating a plan to build an equitable and inclusive school district for all.
