Re: Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration Now Open!

Dear Caregiver,

We are excited to announce that registration for our Full-Day Pre-K 4 and Kindergarten programs for the 2026-2027 school year is officially open!

Starting school is a momentous milestone for both children and their families. At Leonia Public Schools, we take great pride in creating a nurturing environment where our youngest students can explore, learn, and grow. We have designed our registration process to be as clear and straightforward as possible so you can focus on this exciting new chapter.

📅 Key Dates & Eligibility

• Registration Opens: Monday, February 9, 2026
• Deadline for Guaranteed Placement for Leonia Residents: Thursday, April 2, 2026.
  • Note: Leonia residents are guaranteed a spot if registered by this date. After April 2, non-residents may apply.
• Eligibility:
  • Pre-K 4: Child must turn four years old on or before October 1, 2026.
  • Kindergarten: Child must turn five years old on or before October 1, 2026.
     

📝 How to Register: A Simple 3-Step Process

1. Visit Leonia Registration Website to complete our registration forms and process.
2. To finalize enrollment, please gather the following required documents:
   1. Proof of Residency: A current lease or deed AND a current utility bill.
      1. If the lease or deed is not in your name, a completed Affidavit form is required.
   2. Identification: Your child’s original birth certificate or passport.
   3. Required School Forms (found on our registration page):
      1. Medical/Health forms
      2. School Inventory form
3. Once the online portion is complete, please schedule an in-person appointment using our Google Calendar. This must be done by April 2, 2026, before 1:00 PM.
    

💳 Pre-K Tuition & Financial Assistance

• Tuition Details: Annual tuition for Pre-K is $9,500 ($950 per month). Please see the Tuition Information tab for more information.
• Reduced Rates for meals: Families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals.

• How to Apply: After your enrollment is finalized, you can complete the School Meals Application via the Genesis Parent Portal.

Re:  Pre K-4 Tuition Agreement and ACH Authorization Information

Dear Caregiver,

We are delighted to welcome your child to the Leonia Public School District for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Pre-K is a foundational time of growth and discovery, and we are honored to partner with you as your child begins their educational journey.

To assist with your planning, we have outlined the tuition details and the steps required to finalize your child’s enrollment. Our goal is to make this process as seamless as possible so you can focus on the excitement of the first day of school.

The total tuition for the Pre-K Program is $ 9,500.00. This balance is fulfilled through two initial deposits (paid by check or money order) and eight subsequent monthly payments processed via automatic debit (ACH).

Please be advised that if your child is currently enrolled in Pre-K 4 as a Leonia resident, you do not need to register for Kindergarten. Your child will be automatically promoted to Kindergarten.

If your child is currently enrolled in Pre-K 4 as a non-resident, the registrar will contact you directly.
